A Message from the Principal

Welcome to the Mason City School District and Roosevelt Elementary! My name is Austin Peterson, and I am honored to serve as the principal of this wonderful school.

Roosevelt Elementary is a place where learning comes to life. We are proud to offer a warm, caring, and welcoming environment where every child is supported and inspired to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to create a fun, engaging learning experience that builds confidence and a lifelong love of learning in each of our students.

This is my fourth year serving in the Mason City School District, and I am grateful every day to be part of such a supportive and passionate community. Before joining Mason City, I had the privilege of teaching and coaching at Clear Lake Community Schools, where I developed a deep appreciation for the important role educators play in shaping young minds.

At Roosevelt, we believe that strong relationships between home and school are essential to student success. We are excited to partner with you and your child’s educational journey and look forward to the year ahead.
